Beams, frames and columns
Sometimes the job is defined by the steel itself: a beam to fit to existing calculations, a goalpost frame where there is nothing to bear on, a slim column in an open-plan room, or a corroded beam that needs replacing safely.

RSJ installation
Supply and fit of RSJs and steel beams made to the engineer's design, delivered, lifted in and packed to bear.

Steel goalpost frames
A beam and two columns bolted into one frame, for wide openings where the walls can't carry the steel.

Steel columns & posts
Slim steel columns that carry a beam or floor down to its own foundation, for open layouts and weak walls.

Steel beam replacement & repair
Assess, strengthen or replace a corroded, sagging or undersized steel beam, with the engineer deciding the fix.

What is a goalpost frame?
Two steel posts with a beam bolted across the top, forming a free-standing frame. It is used where the walls either side cannot take the beam ends, such as when most of a rear wall is removed.
Can you just supply and fit a beam to my calculations?
Yes. Send us the calculations and drawings and we will price the steel, delivery, propping and installation, and liaise with your building control body for inspection.
How do I know if an old beam needs replacing?
Signs include rust staining or flaking, cracks in plaster above the beam, sagging or sticking doors. An engineer can inspect and advise whether to replace or strengthen it.
