Who we are
Steel Beam Installers is a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889), part of the S&K Group, a construction and property group based at Units 1–4 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. We focus on one thing: putting steel into existing buildings safely, with the right paperwork.
What we do
We take out and open up structural walls in homes and small commercial premises and install the steel that carries the load: beams, goalpost frames, columns and lintels. Around that we arrange the structural engineer's calculations, building control or a building warrant, party wall notices through a surveyor, temporary works, fire protection and making good.
How we work
- A free survey visit before any price is given
- Steel sized from calculations by a qualified structural engineer, never guessed
- An itemised written quote, with the price fixed in writing once the layout and scope are agreed
- Approval in place before work starts, and inspection before the steel is covered
- Floors protected, dust screened and the site left clean

Our installation teams cover England, Wales, mainland Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each area page sets out the building control body and guide prices for that part of the country.
